    L.M. Montgomery Institute

    Lucy Maud Montgomery was the author of the beloved Anne of Green Gables books. The Institute provides tribute to her work and a centre for research focusing on her influential works. It also holds events for those interested in her works and life.

    Dalvay by the Sea

    Built in 1895, Dalvay by the Sea has a long and colourful history. In contemporary times this mansion has been converted into a 26 guest room inn furnished in period antiques. In recent times this luxurious hotel has been used for the setting of the popular television show "Road to Avonlea" and the light-hearted cinema production of Lucy Maude Montgomery's "Anne of Green Gables".

    Anne Statue
    This giant statue of Anne of Green Gables both welcomes visitors to the Island and waves them goodbye on their way to cross the Confederation Bridge.

    Bottle Houses/Maisons de Bouteilles
    This place consists of 3 buildings made completely out of recycled bottles. The various colours of the glass make for an interesting visual experience, especially inside the buildings. The buildings are set in beautiful grounds close to the ocean and with wonderful flower gardens. On certain evenings the grounds are illuminated.This wonderful place was a retirement project for the late Édouard Arsenault.
