Home to L.M. Montgomery's cousins, she was married at Silver Bush house in 1911. The house is now a museum with many of L.M. Montgomery 's belongings. Visit the gardens and see Anne's Enchanted Bookcase. Take a wagon ride by the Lake of Shining Waters. Open May to October.

Bideford Parsonage Museum

This museum has multiple displays on the area and its industries and history. One such display is devoted to Lucy Maud Montgomery, who borded at the parsonage while teaching the Bideford school. A weekly event, 'Wenesday Evening with L.M. Montgomery' is held at the parsonage between July 6-August 31.

Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage Museum

Built in 1775, this heritage house features antiques and belongings of the Montgomery family, including L.M. Montgomery's grandfather. Several of the items well-known from the Anne books drew their inspiration from items shown here, including the green and white china dog 'Magog'.

This small museum is set in a historical one room school house that was used from the early 1800's to 1961. The building was also used by a Japanese TV crew in 1997 for a documentary about Anne of Green Gables author Lucy Maud Montgomery. The museum tells the history of the community and the surrounding areas.
