Car Life Musuem

Open from June through September, this museum's exhibits include restored antique cars (the oldest one is from 1898), farm machinery as old as the early 1800s, and early 20th century farm tractors. The museum charges a small admission fee.

Union Corner School House Museum

This small museum is set in a historical one room school house that was used from the early 1800's to 1961. The building was also used by a Japanese TV crew in 1997 for a documentary about Anne of Green Gables author Lucy Maud Montgomery. The museum tells the history of the community and the surrounding areas.

Basin Head Fisheries Museum

A Provincial Heritage Site, this museum is dedicated to the island's inshore fishery and displays included boats, fishing gear and a good selection of photographs. On-site find gift shops, a tea room, supervised beach, change rooms, playground, volleyball and a canteen. Open daily mid-June to late September.

Lucy Maud Montgomery Heritage Museum

Built in 1775, this heritage house features antiques and belongings of the Montgomery family, including L.M. Montgomery's grandfather. Several of the items well-known from the Anne books drew their inspiration from items shown here, including the green and white china dog 'Magog'.

Farmers' Bank of Rustico Museum & Ducet House

This bank, which operated from 1864 to 1894, was an important link in the credit union movement in Canada and the USA. The museum focuses on the establishment of the bank and Acadian settlement. The Doucet House is a fully restored Acadian log house with antique furnishings.

This museum holds over 3000 items of nineteenth and early twenieth century life. There is a re-created 1800's bedroom and a kitchen where all fixures and utensils displayed are over 100 years old. Open Canada Day to Labour Day (July 1 to first week of September). Adult admission is only $2.
