Welcome to Cornwall!
Situated only a short drive from Prince Edward Island's capital city, Charlottetown, is the thriving community of Cornwall. The town's landscape consists of soft rolling hills and scenic water views. Cornwall lies in a key location on the island, along the Trans-Canada Highway between the Confederation Bridge and Charlottetown. The area of Cornwall was originally settled by French farmers in the mid 1700s and in 1790 English-speaking settlers arrived. The village of Cornwall underwent a large population boom in 1995 when the rural communities of Cornwall, North River and Elliot River amalgamated to form the present town of Cornwall. In Cornwall there are plenty of places for families to spend time together. The town has numerous parks with interactive play equipment for children, like Crystal Park, Lowther Park and MacKinley Park. There are also lush green golf courses such as the 18-hole Glen Afton Golf Course, Clyde River Golf Club and Countryview Golf Club. Visitors should fit in time to explore the interesting local shops and restaurants Cornwall has.Hotels & Motels
